Abstract

One hundred and twenty-two patients with localized prostate cancer were included in a surveillance study. the risk of developing metastases and dying of prostate cancer after 10 years was 20 and 15% respectively. These figures are comparable with results in recent reports on long-term follow-up of after radical prostatectomy and radiation therapy.
