As from 57 in 2023 the Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery (JPHS) is published Open Access, and authors retain full copyright to their manuscript. Articles are then published immediately upon approval of the final proof and payment of the publication fee. All articles are assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier).
Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution license (CC-BY 4.0 license). This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use. CC BY includes the following elements: BY: credit must be given to the creator.
When publishing articles in Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, the author(s) grant first publication rights to Acta Chirurgica Scandinavica. In consideration of the publication of the article, the authors grant to Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery the license to 1) publish, reproduce, distribute, display and store the article worldwide in all forms, formats and media now known or as developed in the future, including print, electronic and digital forms, and 2) to translate the article into other languages, create adaptations, summaries or extracts of the article.
