Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine (JRM) is an international, non-profit, Open Access journal, publishing articles on a broad range of topics within the field. Owned by the Foundation of Rehabilitation Medicine, JRM aims to be a leading worldwide forum for research in physical and rehabilitation medicine, and to increase knowledge in evidence-based clinical rehabilitation. Contributions from all parts of the world and from different professions in rehabilitation are welcome.

Exceptions from standard APC
Consortia
Authors affiliated with institutions that are members of certain consortia agreements, may publish open access articles with discount or at no charge. These initiatives are made possible through an open access agreement between MJS Publishing and the consortia, to streamline and facilitate the publishing process for all involved parties.
To qualify for the consortia arrangements, authors must meet the following criteria:
- Be affiliated with a participating institution
- Serve as the corresponding author for the manuscript
- Conduct the research primarily at the affiliated institution
- Utilize their institutional domain email for both submission and publication
- Additionally, authors must communicate their eligibility to the Editorial office upon manuscript submission.

Authors based in developing countries
The journal offers discounts and waivers to authors from developing countries, as defined by the HINARI/Research4Life waiver policy. The extent of these discounts can range from 50% to 100% of the APC, contingent upon the location of the corresponding author's institution.
