The Society for Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica

The scientific journal Acta Dermato-Venereologica was founded in 1920 by Johan Almkvist, Editor-in-Chief and owner of the journal and professor at Karolinska Institutet (KI), Stockholm, Sweden. In 1936, Almkvist handed over the journal and the ownership to professor Sven Hellerström, also at KI. In 1969, Hellerström donated the journal to the newly founded non-profit association, The Society for Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica, whose task is to support dermato-venereological research and education by publishing the ActaDV. The Society appoints the Editor-in-Chief and decides on principal matters and the economy of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief has the full editorial responsibility. An authorized auditor reviews the Society’s accounts annually. Any economic gain will be used to fulfill the Society’s mission.

Members of the Society for Publication of Acta Dermato-Venereologica are professors and former professors in Dermatology and Venereology or Occupational and Environmental Dermatology at Swedish universities. The Society is chaired by a board comprising seven persons, at present the following:
